Causes: Overload
Solution: Check Weight of load.
Excessive effor for lowering the load.
Causes: brake jammed
Solution: Release 1/4 a turn the slotted nut.
Load slips.
Causes: Ratchet wheel brake covered in oil.
Solution: Clean and dry.
Excessive noise while the chain goes through
the load sheave.
Causes: Wear or oxidation of the chain.
Solution: Inspect and substitute chain.
