LASER LIGHT SAFETY
WARNING
The laser system used in this tool does not
normally present an optical hazard, however it is
important to follow the safety rules below:
• Do not switch on the laser light until the tool is ready to
cut
• Do not direct the laser light towards yourself or other
persons
• Do not point the laser at reflective sheet material as the
surface could direct the beam back at the operator or
other persons in the vicinity
• Changes to or replacement of the laser light assembly
should only be carried out by the manufacturer or an
authorised agent
• Maintain the laser in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions
PREPARATION
UNPACKING YOUR TOOL
Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise
yourself with all its features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good
condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such
parts replaced before attempting to use this tool.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH
Ensure the tool is disconnected from power supply.
1. Loosen the Depth Locking Lever (21) and pivot the saw
body away from the Base Plate (6)
2. Adjust the saw until the required depth is achieved,
according to the Cut Depth Scale (20). The depth scale
should only be used as a reference. If an accurate depth
GB
is required, perform several test cuts until the required
depth is achieved.
3. Push down on the lever to lock, but do not over-tighten.
For best cutting results the blade should extend no
more than one tooth depth beyond the thickness of the
material being cut.

Laser Light Safety / Preparation
CAUTION: Failure to follow safety rules may result in
flash blindness and/or hazardous radiation exposure
1. Rest the front edge of the saw base plate on the
workpiece. Ensure the blade is not touching your work.
2. Switch on the Laser Sight On/Off Button (8).
Note: The laser beam will only work when power is
connected to the tool.
3. Line up the beam with your pencil line.
4. Commence the cut.
5. Switch off the laser.
• The position of the depth locking lever can be adjusted if
the locking mechanism is too tight or too loose.
To adjust the depth locking lever:
1. Use a slotted screwdriver to prise off the circlip securing
the lever on the hex nut.
2. Remove the lever from the hex nut.
3. Refit the lever onto the hex nut, one position clockwise
(if it was too tight) and one position anti-clockwise Refit
the lever onto the hex nut, one position clockwise (to
loosen) or one position anti-clockwise (to tighten)
4. Refit the circlip to fix the lever in position and check the
locking mechanism.
SETTING BEVEL ANGLES
Bevel angles can be set anywhere within the range -1˚ to
45˚.
Note: Do not attempt to bevel the saw if mounted in a saw
table.
