If the product features height adjustment, the ladder can be cranked to the de-
sired height prior to ascending with the aid of the winch. To achieve this, raise
the ladder beyond the desired position until the sprung locking hook snaps below
the rung and then lower the ladder until the locking hook rests on a rung of the
rear, fixed section of the ladder. The cable is thus relieved and the ladder can
now be ascended. After use, the product must be restored to its retracted state
(lowest position).
The self-closing door on the upper platform must not be locked in the open
position.
The basket extension of the platform must not be subjected to vertical loads. It
is only used as a horizontal barrier.

Transportation
An adjustable-height product shall only be transported in the
fully retracted condition.
All brakes shall be released for transport. They shall be ap-
plied again when the product arrives at its intended place of
use.
No persons or objects may be transported with the product.
These products may only be pushed by persons at walking pace. Vehicular
assistance of any kind is not permitted.

Service and maintenance
The purpose of service and maintenance is to ensure proper functioning of the product. Do not use any
aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. If you notice heavy soiling, clean the product immediately after
use. Moving parts must be checked for proper functioning. If present, hinges must be lubricated regu-
larly. All inspection, repair and maintenance work on the product must be carried out by an expert in
compliance with the manufacturer's instructions. Any changes and repairs to the product not in compli-
ance with the manufacturer's instructions will lead to loss of guarantee and warranty. Check the product
for damage at regular intervals. The intervals between these inspections depend on the frequency and
intensity of use. In commercial use, the relevant provisions from binding regulations pertaining to opera-
tional safety must also be observed. It is necessary to perform an inspection on the product after an in-
cident.
Check the following points during regular inspections (depending on the product):
1. Ensure that he stiles of the product are not curved, bent, twisted, dented, torn, corroded or rot-
tened.
2. Check the stiles of the product to its condition of the fixing points for other parts (e.g. steps,
fittings) to ensure that they are in a good condition.
3. Ensure, that fixings (e.g. screws, rivets or bolts) are not missing, loosened or corroded.
4. Ensure that there are no rungs or steps that are missing, extremely worn down, corroded or
damaged.
5. Check, that the hinges are not damaged, loosened or corroded.
6. Check, that no struts or fittings are missing, bent, loosened, stained, corroded or damaged.
