9. Do not mow on slopes of more
than 20°.
10. Exercise extreme caution when
pulling the lawnmower towards you.
11. Make sure that the blade is
stopped if the machine has to be
lifted fo transport.
12. Never operate the lawnmower
with defective guards, or without
safety devices, for example deflectors
and/or grass catchers, in place.
13. Start the motor or switch on
the motor carefully according to
instructions and with feet well away
from the blade.
14. Do not tilt the lawnmower when
starting the motor or switching on
the motor. Start the motor or motor
on a flat surface that is free of
obstacles and tall grass.
15. Do not put hands or feet near or
under rotating parts. Keep clear of
the discharge opening at all times.
16. Never pick up or carry a
lawnmower while the motor is
running.
17. Stop the motor and disconnect
the power supply cable:
- Before carrying out any work
beneath the cutting deck or
unclogging the chute;
- Before checking , cleaning or
working on Lawnmower;
- After striking a foreign object. In
spec the lawnmower for damage
and make repairs before restarting
and operating the lawnmower;
- If the lawnmower starts to vibrate
abnormally immediately check and
remove the cause of the vibration;
- Whenever you leave the
lawnmower unattended.
- When transporting the equipment.
18. Stop the motor:
- Every time the grass catcher is
removed or replaced.
- Before regulating the grass cutting
height.
19. When mowing, always keep to
a safe distance from the rotating
blade. This distance is the length of
the handle.
D) MAINTENANCE
AND STORAGE
1. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws
tight to be sure the equipment is in
safe working condition.
Regular maintenance is essential
for safety and for maintaining
performance levels.
2. To reduce the fire hazard, keep the
lawnmower, and particularly the motor,
free of grass, leaves, or excessive
grease. Do not leave garden rubbish
containes within a room. (Fig.2.07)
3. Check the deflector and grass
catcher frequently for wear and
deterioration.
4. Periodically check the electric cables
and replace them if they are damaged
or the insulation has been damaged.
Never touch a badly insulated cable if
it still connected to the power supply.
Remove the cable from the socket
before taking any action.
5. Wear strong work gloves when
removing and reassembling the
blade. (Fig.2.08)
6. Check the blade's balance after
sharpening. (Fig.2.08)
7. For reasons of safety, do not use
the equipment with worn cables
or damaged parts. Parts are be
replaced and not repaired. Use
genuine spare parts. Parts which
are not of an equivalent quality
can damage the equipment and be
dangerous for your safety.
3. ASSEMBLY
- Insert the lower part right (Fig
3.01-pos.1) and left (Fig3.01-pos.2)
of the handle into the respective
holes and lock into position with the
supplied screws (Fig3.01-pos3).
Attach the upper part of the handle
(Fig 3.01-Pos.4) to the lower part
using the knobs (Fig 3.01-Pos. 5)
and the supplied nuts and bolts as
shown. Attach the cable-clamp (Fig
3.01-Pos. 6) to the position shown
and then attach the cable (Fig 3.01-
Pos. 7). The correct position of the
electric cable hook (Fig 3.01-Pos. 8)
is as shown.
4. DESCRIPTION
OF CONTROLS
The motor is controlled by a dual
action switch to prevent starting
it accidentally. To start, press the
button (Fig.4.01-pos.2) and pull the
lever (Fig.4.01-pos.1). The motor
automatically stops on releasing the
lever (Fig.4.01 -pos.1).
WARNING: Blade continues to
rotate after machine is switched off.
The cutting height is adjusted by
attaching the wheels to the required
hole (Fig.4.02). All the wheels
must be at the same height. Make
this adjustment only when the blade
is stopped.
5. GRASS CUTTING
Lift the stone-deflector and
correctly attach the rigid grass
catcher (Fig.5.01 -pos.1 ). Start the
motor by pressing the safety push-
button (Fig.5.02-pos.2) and pulling
the lever (Fig.5.02-pos.1) of the
switchgear. If it is necessary to tilt
the machine to encourage the motor
to start on grass, it should only be
tilted from the front.
While cutting, ensure that the electric
cable is always behind you and on the
area of grass already cut (Fig.5.03).
