Safety Information and Warnings

· This vacuum cleaner complies with compulsary safety regulations for electric equipment. However,
improper use can be harmful to people and property. Read the instructions for use carefully before you
use the vacuum cleaner. Keep these instructions in a safe place.
· This vacuum cleaner may only be used in homes to vacuum dry waste. People or animals must never
be vacuumed with this vacuum cleaner.
· Any other types of use are at your own risk and are possibly dangerous.
· Other uses and unattended operation are not allowed.
· The manufacturer cannot be made responsible for damages that are cause by improper use or incor-
rect operation.
· Only connect the appliance to a 230 volt alternating current receptacle. The receptacle should be
protected by a 16-amp fuse. If other appliances with a higher connected load are connected to the
same circuit, the fuse may be tripped when the vacuum cleaner is switched on. This can be prevented
by selecting the lowest suction power (min.) before switching on and only choosing the desired setting
when the motor is running.
· The appliance may not be used without a filter bag and motor protection filter.
· When using the appliance for longer periods of time, the power cord must be pulled out by at least 2/3,
otherwise there is a danger of overheating and damage.
· Do not vacuum glowing ashes, large fragments of glass, sharp objects or any liquids.
· Don't vacuum any toner dust, which is used in printers and copiers for example, because it is electricaly
conductive. In addition, it is possible that it will not be completely filtered out by the filter system of the
vacuum cleaner and can be released into the air via the exhaust fan.
· Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning or changing the filters.
· Only trained specialists may make repairs on electric equipment. Improper repairs could result in consi-
derable danger to the user.
· Do not store the appliance directly beside a hot oven or radiator.
· Children are not aware of the dangers that result from handling electric appliances. Therefore, children
should never handle electric appliances without supervision.
Important Information:
To guarantee trouble free operation and optimum suction power, you have to empty and clean the
filter and the permanent box after vacuuming or if the display blinks. Replace the filter back into the
vacuum cleaner only after it has completely dried.
