Remove the pedals from their packaging and locate the "L" on the left pedal and the "R" on

the right pedal.
Remove the plastic insert protecting the pedal threads.

The left and right pedals have opposite threads. When tightening, both pedals will rotate

over the top and toward the front of the bicycle.
