OPERATING YOUR ELECTRIC KETTLE
INITIAL USE
Before rst use, run the kettle through several cleaning cycles following the instructions below to
remove factory material or dust from the interior. Discard the water from these cleaning cycles.
CAUTION
The lled water level must be between the Max and Min level as indicated on
the housing. Too little water will do damage to the heat element. Water over ll
may cause boiling water to over ow out of the kettle.
OPERATION
1. To ll the kettle, remove it from Power Base
and open the Lid by pressing the Lid Release
Button on top of Lid (Fig. 2). Fill the kettle with
the desired amount of water, ensuring the water

the Lid Latch on the inside front of kettle is not
obstructed and the lid closes completely.
Alternatively, the kettle may be lled through
the spout without opening the lid.
NOTE: Do not over or under- ll kettle. Too little
water will result in the kettle switching o before
the water has boiled. If water is over the MAX
level it may spill out of the spout when boiling
and cause injury.
2. Place kettle on Power Base (Fig. 3). Rotate
kettle as needed so the spout faces away from
you.
NOTE: Both Power Base and kettle can be
rotated by 360 degrees to allow the plug to
connect easily with the power outlet. Excess
cord length can be stored in the Power Base and
secured with cord storage hooks.
3. Plug kettle into a power outlet. The six lights
on the control panel will ash once with a "beep"
sound indicating the kettle is powered on. The
kettle will then default to ashing only the 212°F

TEMPERATURE PRE-SETS
Di erent types of tea and tisanes have various optimal brewing temperatures to extract
maximum avor without scalding or burning the leaves. Brewing at a higher temperature than
recommended can result in a bitter avor. Your kettle has 6 pre-programmed settings, clearly
labeled with the temperature and type of beverage so you can easily steep the perfect cup of tea
or co ee.
