Do not connect the hotplate to an on/
off timer or other equipment that can
automatically switch on the appliance.
The hotplate must only be used for heating
pans, etc. for cooking purposes.
Only use pots, pans, etc. with a fl at base that
are designed for use on electric hotplates,
and of a size to suit the individual hotplate.
For indoor use only.
The hotplate is only intended for use in
private households.
The hotplate must not be used in bed.
The hotplate must be placed on a fl at,
stable and heat-resistant surface. Be sure to
position the hotplate so that it cannot tip or
tilt over.
Do not place the hotplate under or near
curtains or other fl ammable items.
Make sure the cord does not come into
contact with the hot parts of the hotplate.

Before use

To remove any protective fi lm and harden
the hotplate, it should be left at maximum
temperature for around 5 minutes. Smoke
may develop from the hotplate. This is
normal and completely safe and will
cease after a short time. Ensure adequate
ventilation in the meantime.
This is the only time when the hotplate
should be switched on without cookware
on it.
Functions
The hotplate is thermostatic. This means that
the thermostat will turn the power on and
off , and the indicator light for the hotplate
will also turn on and off along with the
thermostat.
Please be aware that the thermostat will be
able to turn on and off before, for instance,
water begins to boil. This is completely
normal.
Use
Plug in.
Place the pan on the hotplate.
Select the desired heat for the hotplate using
the temperature selector (2).
The red indicator light for the hotplate comes
on (3).
The indicator light will go on and off as the
thermostat does.
Turn the temperature selector to 0 and
unplug the hotplate after use. Allow to cool
down completely.

Cleaning and maintenance

Remove the plug from the mains socket
before cleaning.
The hotplate must not be immersed in any
liquid. All surfaces can be cleaned using a
well-wrung cloth.
For stubborn stains, a small amount of
detergent is recommended.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring
pads for cleaning.
Always make sure that the hotplate is
completely dry before use.
