Attaching and Adjusting the
Shoulder Strap (Fig. M)
Optional Accessory, Sold Separately.

WARNING: The shoulder strap should only be slung
over one shoulder and not across the body. See Fig M.
A shoulder strap is recommended for any tool with a total
weight exceeding 13lbs. (6 kg). (Total weight includes
the tool, attachment, and battery.) A shoulder strap is
available at an additional cost from PORTER-CABLE at
www.portercable.com or call 1-888-848-5175, part
number N769443. Attach the strap to the tool as shown in
Fig. M and adjust for proper balance and support

2. Adjust the strap so it fits over your shoulder and
provides proper balance and support.
Repairs
The charger and batteries are not serviceable. There are no
serviceable parts inside the charger or battery pack.

repairs, maintenance and adjustment (including brush
inspection and replacement, when applicable) should

or a PORTER‑CABLE authorized service center. Always

Possible solution
Unscrew the purge valve to release vacuum.
Unscrew the purge valve to release pressure.
Rotate grease tube handle 90 degrees to disengage it.
Add grease.
Refer to Purging Air Pockets.
Disconnect coupler from fitting, clean zerk fitting and
grease path.
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
Refer to Preparing the Grease Gun for Suction
and Filler Pump Filling.
