PRECAUTIONS
•
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility where the PROFICOUP tile cutter is used with any tools other than
those specified in the "RECOMMENDED USE" paragraph.
ASSEMBLY
Proceed by assembling the PROFICOUP tile cutter.
The PROFICOUP IS ASSEMBLED AT THE FACTORY FOR RIGHT-HANDED OPERATORS.
1
Position the cutter beam bracket and lock it intoplace using the fastening knob.
LEFT HANDED OPERATORS
2
Using a 5mm male hexagonal wrench, disassemble the "0 degrees" stop and place it in the opposite housing (B)
of the cutter beam bracket's support.
3
Position the cutter beam bracket and block it with the fastening knob.
TRANSPORT
The PROFICOUP tile cutter can easily be transported.
• Remove the beam bracket from its seating.
4
• Position the cutting indicator and the relative tile support plate on the inner side of the beam bracket's arm.
4
• Using the screw hole positioned on the support surface, fasten the upside-down cutter beam bracket with
the locking knob.
PERFORMING THE CUT
5
a) Lift the "0 degrees" register and position the cutter beam bracket at an angle of "0 degrees";
6
b) Position the tile to be cut on the resting surface at the cut point required.
For greater accuracy, use the cutting indicator and the relative tile support plate;
7
c) raise the breaker foot;
8
d) Proceed by cutting into the glaze using the cutting lever, exerting constant pressure downward along the
whole tile size;
9
e) Acting on the cutting lever, move the foot to the break point then exert a gradually increasing pressure until the
tile is separated.
DIAGONAL CUT
• Loosen the beam bracket's locking knob;
10
• Move the supporting beam bracket to an angle of 45° as shown in photo 8.
• Position the tile to be cut on the work surface and proceed with cutting as described in the "PERFORMING THE
CUT" paragraph.
DIFFERENTLY SIZED DIAGONAL CUTS CAN BE MADE BY USING THE CUTTING INDICATOR AND
THE TILE SUPPORT PLATE.
11
THE CUTTING BEAM BRACKET IS EQUIPPED WITH A SPECIAL CENTIMETRE DIVISION FOR
DIRECTLY READING THE SIZE TO BE CUT.
12
USE THE SIDE EXTENSIONS FOR GREATER STABILITY WHEN CUTTING LARGE-SIZED
TILES.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
REPLACEMENT OF CUTTING SPARE WHEEL
13
• Using a 3 mm hexagonal wrench, remove the screw from its seat and the locking nut cutting wheel.
14
• Remove the worn cutting wheel and replace it with the supplied spare wheel.
Clean the surfaces from any residues.
For better smoothness of the cutting wheel, it is recommended to lubricate the surface of the locking screw with
lithium grease.
