7.- RULES FOR RACK MOUNTING (max. 35 ASI-COFDM 5 unit sub-rack x7. 8.7" high)
7.1.- Installation of the rack with ventila-
tion facilities.
The installation of 2 25W ventilation units is
recommended, to better the renewal and
circulation of air in the interior of the rack ,
reduce the temperature of the units and thus
improve their performance. This is particu-
larly important when the ASI-COFDM rack is
placed in warm environments, above 40°C.

These ventilators will be placed on a tray,
that is screwed onto the top part of the
Rack, fig. 1 and 2, and in this way the venti-
lators will be able to extract the air from the
ASI-COFDM and will be able to expel it via
the gap (approx. 3-5 cm) at the top part of
the Rack.

To mount the units in the vented cabinet,
the assembling of blank plates ref.5173 are
compulsory between modules to allow for
the adequate ventilation as well as ref. 5073
to substitute units not installed.
