Things to Consider Prior to Mounting
SELECT A LOCATION THAT ALLOWS
THE SENSOR TO PERFORM AT ITS
PEAK EFFICIENCY.
MINIMUM MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8 FT.
OPTIMAL MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8-10 FT.
Mounting above 10 ft. can decrease the
sensor detection range.
DO NOT mount near light sources
(street lights, tra c).
PASSIVE INFRARED
(PIR) SENSOR ZONE
THE FIXTURE USES A PASSIVE
INFRARED (PIR) MOTION SENSOR AND
AS SUCH DETECTS CHANGES IN
INFRARED RADIATION OF WARM
OBJECTS MOVING ACROSS THE
DETECTION ZONES.
The PIR sensor can be triggered by a variety of sources including
dryer vents, hot tubs, idling vehicles, etc.
The PIR sensor CANNOT detect motion through plexiglass, plastic, or glass
barriers.
DO NOT aim the PIR toward areas with pedestrian and motorized tra c and/or
other objects that generate heat.
DO NOT mount near nighttime light sources (street lights, tra c). Light sources can
cause the light to operate in daylight mode.
