A. CHOOSING THE CORRECT SIZE
SCOTT helmets are offered in a variety of sizes, making it easy for you to find the one that
fits just right.
If possible, try on different sizes and choose the size that feels most secure and comfortable
on your head. Grab the helmet with both hands while it is sitting firmly on your head and
twist it left and right. If the helmet fits properly, it will move only minimally or not at all. If it
moves too much, review the fit system adjustments.
WARNING  ! If you cannot adjust your helmet so that it fits properly, then please do not use
this helmet  ! Choose another helmet size or another helmet model.
Your SCOTT dealer will gladly help you.
B. POSITION AND FIT
To obtain maximum comfort and protection, the product must cover the protected area
correctly as follows.
The front of the helmet should be positioned closely just above your
eyebrows. If the helmet is too low, then it will prevent you from see-
ing potential dangers. If the helmet is too high, then optimal protection
is not ensured.
If applicable, try to buckle on your ski goggles. If the helmet fits proper-
ly, then your forehead is completely covered by the helmet and ski gog-
gles. Make sure to use ski goggles that are compatible with this helmet.
A
Prior to using any helmet make sure that it fits properly and the straps
are adjusted correctly. Pull the chin straps tight enough so that the hel-
met fits correctly. Put the helmet in the proper position (A) and look at
yourself in a mirror to check that the helmet fits.
The SCOTT helmet design ensures that it offers optimal protection and
remains securely on your head in the event of an accident.
Position the helmet in such a way that the front edge is pitched low to pro-
tect your forehead and the helmet is level on your head (A). Never wear

your helmet tilted back so that it exposes your forehead (B).
C. CHIN STRAP ADJUSTMENT
While wearing the helmet, the chin straps must always be secured by the clip and pulled
tight. (C) & (D) show how the clip is opened and closed. (E) shows the correct position and
fit of the chin strap during use. It should be tight enough so that you can still chew an ener-
gy bar and swallow it. After correctly sizing the chin strap ensure that the loose end of the
chin strap has been guided through and secured by the rubber o-ring (F). If this is not done
the chin strap may become loose, compromising the fit and safety of the helmet. Make sure
that the chin strap is worn close to the top of the neck (E). If the strap is worn on the tip of
the chin, then the probability of the helmet coming off in an accident is increased.
