SCOTT PROGRESSIVE IMPACT ABSORPTION
SCOTT Progressive Impact Absorption improves protection for low and mid speed
impacts while still surpassing the EN  1 077  :   2 007 standard requirements. Whilst all
helmets are designed and certified so as to provide some protection against the
risk of impacts, studies have shown that low and mid speed impacts can still cause
headaches, concussions and other injuries.
The SCOTT Progressive Impact Absorption construction provides better protection
against these lesser impacts by combining viscoelastic foam with traditional EPS
and provides the following benefits  :
1- Forces transmitted to the head for low and mid speed impacts are reduced
significantly compared to the traditional EPS helmets we have tested.
2- A helmet with the SCOTT Progressive Impact Absorption can withstand better
multiple impacts at lower speeds.
3- The helmet still surpasses EN  1 077  :   2 007 standard even after multiple low or mid
speed impacts. Whereas traditional EPS helmets may lose absorption perfor-
mance after multiple low and mid speed impacts in a way that they might not
meet the standard impact requirement anymore.
Every helmet should be always replaced after a serious impact. The helmet is
engineered so that the viscoelastic foam is strategically placed in key areas. The
performances of the SCOTT Progressive Impact Absorption were tested at the
indicated spots
