Position the half-rings (with a larger diameter) so that the tabs are coupled to
59
the seats on the bearing ring.
Insert the outer cone, orienting the slot in correspondence with the grease
60
fitting and the vent valve on the joint body.
Insert the internal plastic tube and base cone assembly by orienting the hole
61
with the reference pin.
Tighten the fixing screws on the base cone.
62
Insert the hard shell, orienting the two slots with grease fitting and vent valve
63
on the body of the CV-joint.
Tighten the fixing screws on the hard shell, the use of electric screwdrivers
64
is not recommended
Fasten the metal grease fitting of the cv-joint bearing ring.

SHORTENING THE DRIVELINE
Bondioli & Pavesi does not recommend modifications to its products. If you
66
are unsure of the procedure, or need additional assistance, please contact
your local implement dealer or qualified service centre. If the driveline needs to be
shortened, proceed as described below.
Remove shielding.
67
Shorten drive tubes as necessary. In normal conditions, telescoping tubes
68
must always overlap by at least a ½ of their length. During manoeuvres, when
the driveline is not rotating, the telescoping tubes must have a suitable overlap to
maintain the tubes aligned and allow then to slide properly. The SFT PRO series is
always equipped with a Greasing System therefore it is necessary to shorten the
tubes by a limited amount in order to avoid damaging the greasing system.
Carefully fettle the edges of both tubes with a file, especially the outer edge
69
of the inner tube and the inner edge of the outer tube.
Clean the tubes and completely remove the shavings and filings. If the
is
shortened, the tubes must be fettled, cleaned and re-greased correctly for the
entire service life of the driveline.
Shorten shield tubes one at time by cutting the same length that was cut
70
from the drive tubes.
Grease the internal drive tube. Reassemble the shielding on the driveshaft.
71
Check the length of the drive shaft at the minimum and maximum positions
72
of the machine.
Telescoping tubes must always overlap by at least a 1/2 of their length.
During manoeuvres, when the driveline is not rotating, the telescoping tubes
must have a suitable overlap to maintain the tubes aligned and allow then to slide
