Roger Beep:
Press and hold the [▲] button while turn ON the radio to enable the Roger Beep function.
Repeat the step to turn OFF the Roger Beep.
Keypad lock:
1. To lock the keypad, press and hold the [
LCD.
2. Repeat the above step to unlock the keypad.
Channels scan:
To start scanning:
1. Short press the [Scan] key to start scan function. SCAN icon will appear in the LCD. The
radio will stop scan when receiving matched channel and their codes.
2. When receiving signal is finished, press the [PTT] within 5 seconds to transmit in the
same channel. The radio will resume scanning when the receiving signal disappears.
3. If you press the [PTT] key when scanning, the radio will transmit in the initial channel.
4. Press the [Scan] key to exit scan function.
Note:
- If the scan stops on an undesired signal, press the [▲] or [▼] key to resume scan
function or temporarily remove that channel from the scan list by press and hold
the [▲] or [▼] for 3 seconds. Press [Scan] key to exit and return to the scan mode
and restore the removed channels of the scan list.
LED Flashlight:
Press the [LAMP] key to turn ON/OFF the flashlight.
Power save function:
This function is ON by default to enhance the battery life.
Emergency SOS mode:
You can use this feature to transmit SOS signal. To enter emergency SOS mode:
1. Press and hold the [SOS] key for 3 seconds. The RED LED will turn ON.
2. Press the [SOS] key again to turn OFF the function.
Water-activated LED:
When the radio is dropped into water, white LED will turn ON automatically to ease user to
locate their radio in dark environment. After retrieve the radio, press any key to disable
except [LAMP] key.
Note:
- Radio floats with 1200 mAh Ni-MH batteries. It may not float with other type of
batteries.
