Safety instructions for height-adjustable
tables
The use of the Low Lateral module together with height-adjus-
table tables can create special danger points.
WARNING
There is a risk of crushing at moving furniture parts (tables,
doors).
— Keep away from the movement range of the tabletop.
— Keep in mind the safety distance to edges and furniture
(see safety labels).
— Do not sit on the Active Layer.
Operation
Connecting external devices
Connectors on the assembled desk (see user manual of the
desk) allow the connection of external devices (e.g. a light, note-
book, smartphone).
• Connect external devices only to the connectors provided.
• Use the provided cable guides.
• Make sure routed cables cannot cause stumbling.
Maintenance
Replacing components
Only qualified personnel may work on electrical compo-
nents (e.g. power points).
Cleaning the module
WARNING
Moisture increases the risk of electric shock.
— Do not touch electrical components (plugs, etc.) with a
wet cloth or liquids.
— Switch off the power supply before cleaning.
• Wipe upholstery fabrics with commercially available cleaning
agent.
• Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth.
Moving the module
Move the Low Lateral module only in dismantled status and
with desks dismounted. Only qualified personnel may dis-
mount the desks.

Functional checks
The installer carries out a functional test after assembly. The
functional test is logged.
• Keep the signed protocol of the functional test with the user
manuals.
• Before each height adjustment, observe the table "Functional
checks" in the operating instructions of the table.
• Additionally, carry out the following functional checks of the
Low Lateral module regularly:

Storage
If you want to store the Low Lateral module temporarily, the
following storage conditions must be met:
• Undamaged transport packaging
• Sufficient carrying capacity of the floor.
• Dry floor.
• Level storage surface.
• Temperature range +5 C to +40 C.
Disposal
Only qualified personnel may dismantle the Low Lateral
module.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions for disassembly

• Separate the dismantled parts of the module by material
groups and dispose of them according to local laws and re-
gulations.
