PositioningSling, disposable
Intended use
The PositioningSling, disposable is designed to allow a client to be lifted and repositioned in a supine manner. It may
also be utilized to roll or turn a client who requires frequent change of position while in bed. The sling can also provide
support for a person while (s)he is lying on his/her side. The PositioningSling, disposable can be used in combination
with ceiling lifts or mobile lifts, and can assist in client transfer from bed, shower trolley/stretcher and even off the floor.
It has twelve attachment points, six on both sides, which can be connected to the sling bar hooks.
The sling is made of disposable material for single client use, which is advantageous for Infection Control and Prevention
in care environments.
Indication of use
Thorough risk assessment of the client, the environment and the task to be performed is always required when deciding
which sling type and application is to be used. Always refer to your policies and procedures to ensure appropriate
techniques are being used.
PositioningSling, disposable has 12 lift straps, 6 pieces along both sides.
To simplify handling for the caregiver, the lift straps have three loop alternatives which are marked with colors:
white, grey and red. This makes it easier to use the same strap loop at both sides of the client to lift level.
The PositioningSling, disposable is marked with a product label, which is positioned at the head of the bed
with the label facing the surface. An arrow on the label marks the middle of the sling for placing it under the
spine of the client.
