1. General information
These instructions are intended for users of the appliance and
qualified contractors.

Read the entire manual. Failure to follow the guidelines, instruc-
tions, and rules could result in personal injury or property dam-
age. Improper installation, adjustment, modification, service, and
use of this appliance may result in serious injury.
Stiebel Eltron recommends professional installation of the appli-
ance by a licensed plumber (and electrician if no 120 V grounded
outlet is available and needs to be installed). The installation must
comply with all national, state, and local regulations governing
plumbing and electrical installations. The operator is responsible
for ensuring proper installation. Failure to follow the installation
and operating instructions or improper use will void the warranty.
Keep these instructions for later reference. The installer should
leave these instructions with the user.
