DIGGING AND PLACING LINER

Step 1. Mark the outline of your pond.
• For this 200 gallon pond, the approx.
dimensions are 3 ft. x 6 ft., 1.5 ft. depth
Step 2. Dig out your pond removing any
debris or rocks that may damage your liner.
• Add approximately 2 in. of sand to the
bottom of the pond and compress. The
sand will act as a cushion beneath your
pond liner.
Step 3. Open the liner and drape it across the
pond area, making sure to leave at least 10 in.
(ideally 1 ft.) of overlap around the perimeter
of the pond.
Step 4. Begin to fill the pond with water
smoothing out any wrinkles as you do this.
• As the pond fills up, Assemble the Filter Kit
Step 5. When the pond is full, bury the excess liner in a small trench
around your pond with stones and rocks for a professional finish.
