Dear customers.
Thank you for buying a B'TWIN electric-assisted bike. It will let you get a taste for travelling
around on 2 wheels for your leisure trips, offer the most practical, economical mode of trans-
port for your city trips, and finally, help you burn calories to keep in shape. However, we invite
you to read the instruction manual to make the most of your B'TWIN electrically assisted bike.
Remember that an electric-assisted bike is not a moped and your input is required to make it
go further, faster and for longer. We suggest that you learn how to use your electric-assisted
bike in an open area in order to get used to the feel of the motor kicking in and ensure opti-
mum control when riding.Engage sport mode for your first few miles only if you're sure of your
ability to control your bike. Here are 10 tips to take full advantage of your B'TWIN electrically
assisted bike.
Electrically assisted bicycles are heavier than classic pushbikes. Without assistance, pedal-
ling can be harder. You must always ensure you are capable of completing the entire journey
without using the pedal-assist, in case of breakdown.
Please note, these instructions only refer to the bike's electric features. For
other features, common to all our bikes, you need to refer to the B'TWIN user
manual which accompanies this document and is also available on our website
www.supportdecathlon.com or on request from our DECATHLON stores.
