Cleaning the cabinet and the inner tube
Use a soft damp cloth when cleaning the
cabinet and the inner tube.
1. Do not directly rinse with water.
2. Do not use a neutral scouring agent.
3. Not to use gasoline or alcohol.
Make sure you open the front door for aeration
when cleaning the inner tube.
Safety reset
1. These dryers have a safety cut out switch which is activated by
temperature.
2. The safety reset button is on the backboard. If your dryer is not
heating, this button must be pressed before the dryer will operate
again. You may need to wait 10 minutes for cooling to take place.
3. The most common reason for the dryer to overheat is a blocked
filter.
Clean the lint filter after each load to prevent the dryer from
overheating.
It will only be necessary to press the safety reset button if the
dryer is not heating. Allow the dryer to cool down for at least 10
minutes before pressing the button. Press the white button in until
you feel the reset click. Cleaning the filter after each load will avoid
repetitive use of the safety cut out switch.
The cut out switch may be activated in the following cases:
1. The lint filter is blocked.
2. The exhaust outlets at the back of the dryer are blocked.
3. Poor ventilation in the room - open a window or a door
4. A lightweight garment e.g. handkerchief has been sucked onto
the filter.
Safety Reset Button
Use your finger or a pencil to press the button in until you feel it click.
