1. Set up and fill the pool with water to the required level according to the pool's owner's manual.
2. Attach the Filter Pump's Inlet port to the Pool's outlet Connection Valve (B) by screwing the hose's threaded locking rings into position.
3. Connect the Filter Pump to the Ozone generator.
a) Screw the Adapters to the Filter Pump's Outlet port and Ozone generator's Inlet port,
b) Place the loose Hose Clamps on both ends of the Ozone generator hose, attach the Hose to the Adapters.
c) Tighten the Hose Clamps.
4. Attach the Ozone generator's Outlet port to the Pool's Inlet Connection Valve (A) by screwing the hose's threaded locking rings into position.
5. Open the Connection Valve, water now flows to the Filter Pump and the Ozone generator.
6. Check that every port and valve is connected correctly.
The Hydro Force Ozone generator is designed to decrease chemical usage and save cost in cleaning and maintaining swimming pool water. The

effectiveness of the Ozone generator will depend on a variety of factors including the number hours each day the unit is activated as well as the
water capacity of the pool and the regional characteristics of the water used in the pool. Pool water should always be carefully monitored and
tested to determine water chemistry and chemicals should be added when required. To achieve optimal performance from the Hydro Force
Ozone generator, the pool water must be as clean as possible to start with.
1. Contact your local pool supply shop and add chemicals according to their instructions.
• Backwash or clean filter pump before starting the Ozone generator.
• Super chlorinate pool water using a chlorine based shock treatment.
• Test pool chemistry and adjust pH between 7.2 and 7.8. Adjust total alkalinity between 80 and 120ppm.
2. Check the pool for correct installation and make sure both the pool's inlet and outlet valves are fully covered by water before operating the pump
and the Hydro Force Ozone generator. Also ensure water is flowing between the pool, pump and Ozone generator by opening the connection

valves or replacing the stopper plugs with the debris screens on the pool to allow water to flow.
3. Start the Filter Pump or Sand Filter according to the owner's manual. For filter pumps, bleed the air purge valve before operating.
• Never plug-in the Ozone generator until the Pump has been plugged in and operated normally. Please refer to pump's owner's manual for
detailed operation.
• To prevent the risk of electrical shock, ensure your hands are completely dry when plugging-in the pump and the Ozone generator.
• To prevent the risk of electrical shock with the risk of injury of death never run the Pump and the Ozone generator when people are in the pool.
4. With the pump operating, plug-in the Ozone generator to begin sterilizing pool water.
• Insert the plug into a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA protected power outlet only.
• Do not dry run the Ozone generator. Damage caused by dry running the Ozone generator is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
• Pool water must be tested to determine water chemistry. Chemicals should be added when required. Contact your local pool supply shop for
advice.
5. For maximum effectiveness it is recommended to operate the pump and Ozone generator for 6 - 8 hours a day. Do not run for more than 8 hours
per day or this will void the Manufacturer's Warranty.
6. To stop operation it is important to begin by unplugging the Ozone generator first and then the pump. With the two units unplugged it is safe to
use the pool.
• Remember to unplug Ozone generator first. Never unplug the Pump when the Ozone generator is running.
