• If the area where the tape is pasted is reflective, it must
be painted black or covered with black tape before
pasting the reflective tape.
• The area where the tape is pasted must first be clean
and dry.
• If the values of RPM measures are very low (< 50 RPM),
it is recommended to apply more than one reflective
tape on the object, providing more accurate reading,
with better resolution and with sample rates higher. Ho-
wever, you must not forget to divide the display reading
by the number of tapes to get the real value in RPM.
B. "MEM" Button
During the measurements, the drive button must be
pressed. On this moment the instrument stores the
maximum, minimum and the last reading automatically
before being disabled.
These values can be restored trough the button "MEM".
When finished with the measurements, stored values can
be displayed on the display as follows:
1. Press the button "MEM" for the first time to view the last
measure, the display shows the value and the indication
"LA" interchangeably.
2. Press the button "MEM" for the second time to view the
maximum measured value, the display shows the value
and the indication "UP" interchangeably.
3. Press the button "MEM" for the third time to view the
minimum measured value, the display shows the value
and the indication "dn", interchangeably.
