We have already mentioned that there may be several codes that enable you to control certain functions of a device.
However, you should remember that there is only 1 code that will enable you to control ALL functions of a device. This
is why you should test all functions BEFORE accepting a code as the right one for a particular device.
Example :
The correct code for a certain model of TV by Toshiba is #139. The key for the functions "CONT+/-" en "COL+/-"
(contrast and colour)" for code #139 is "☼+/-".
Code #137 enables you to control the functions POWER and CH+/- en VOL+/- , but not the functions CONT+/- of
COL+/-. Consequently, you should use code #139 : it is the only one that allows you to control all functions of this
device.
