ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these safety instructions before use and
keep them in a safe place.
! - This symbol indicates the risk of injury or damage
to the device.
• Only mill with sharp, undamaged milling heads!
• Always switch on the upper milling cutter fi rst and
then move the milling head into the workpiece!
• When milling, always let the base rest over the
entire surface!
• When milling, make sure that the feed is even.
Excessive feed rate can lead to injury and premature
wear of the milling head!
• Empty the connected vacuum cleaner regularly.
Clogged suction ducts lead to accumulation of chips
in the work area!
• Do not put down the upper router until the motor has
come to a complete stop!
• Check the parts for damage. All parts must be
properly assembled and compliant
• Do not mount the upper router on the jig. The router
is not intended for stationary operation!
• Guide the dust extraction hose in such a way that it
does not restrict milling and does not cause burying!
Fire protection
Fire protection when working with wood: have a
powder or fi re extinguisher ready!
- Use protective equipment against noise, dust and
vibration !!!

DESCRIPTION
The upper vertical milling machine is used for ma-
nually controlled milling in solid hard and soft wood
and also in sandwich wood materials in the home
workshop.
The upper milling machine is not intended for deman-
ding use by craftsmen on construction sites.

USE AND OPERATION

ASIST tools are intended for home or hobby use only.
The manufacturer and importer do not recommend
using this tool in extreme conditions and under high
loads.
Assembly and adjustment
Mounting of collet and milling head
ATTENTION! Pull the plug out of the socket before
all assembly and adjustment work! Place the upper
cutter on its side.
Giant. 2: Manually turn the axis of the milling machine
and at the same time press the locking knob (4). As
soon as the locking knob engages: Hold down fi rmly
and unscrew the milling sleeve (16) with an open-
-ended spanner (23). Giant. 3: Select the appropriate
collet (21) for the milling head used. For milling heads
shank 6 mm: small inner diameter shank 8 mm: large
inner diameter Insert collet (21) and screw the milling
sleeve (16) back on loosely by hand.
Giant. 4: Insert the milling head shank (not included in
the delivery) approx. 3/4 of the shank length into the
collet (21).
Giant. 5: Turn the milling head clockwise by hand
while pressing the locking knob (4). Once locked:
Hold fi rmly and screw in the milling sleeve (16) with
an open-ended spanner (23).
