STIM-PRO X700
used successfully for many years in the field of high-
performance sport for muscle regeneration and muscle
development.

How EMS works

The brain sends impulses to a muscle which causes the
EN
muscle to work. EMS generates artificial stimulation of the
muscle by the use of electrical pulses that stimulate the
muscles located beneath the skin. The muscle is unable to
distinguish between an impulse from the brain or one that
comes from outside. The muscle reacts with a contraction
and is trained passively. Then when the pulse ceases, the
muscle relaxes and the cycle starts over again (stimulation,
contraction and relaxation).
Indications
People use TENS to relieve pain for several different types
of illnesses and conditions. They use it most often to treat
muscle, joint, or bone problems that occur with illnesses
such as osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia, or for conditions
such as low back pain, neck pain, tendinitis, or bursitis.
People have also used TENS to treat sudden (acute) pain,
such as labor pain, and long-lasting (chronic) pain, such as
cancer pain.
EMS is widely used in hospitals and sports clinics for the
treatment of muscular injuries and for there-education of
paralyzed muscles, to prevent atrophy in affected muscles
and improve muscle tone and blood circulation. It works for:
Relaxation of muscle spasms, prevention or retardation of
disuse atrophy, increasing local blood circulation, muscle
re-education, immediate post-surgical stimulation of calf
muscles to prevent venous thrombosis, maintaining or
increasing range of motion.
