Errors – causes and corrective measures
Cause
Temperature warning (g) flashing, display shows "err",
measurement not possible, measuring tool switches off
automatically after five seconds
Measuring tool is outside of
the operating temperature
range of 14 °F ... 104 °F
(– 10 °C ... +40 °C).
All symbols flash, measurement not possible
Measuring tool faulty
Fitted adapter (e) flashes, display shows "err", measurement
not possible
Adapter error:
– Faulty adapter
– Adapter has no connection
to the measuring tool.
Display shows "----" or "----" together with area measurement
indicator (f), measurement not possible
Measuring range exceeded 65 ft

Corrective measure
Wait until the measuring tool has
reached operating temperature.
Then switch the measuring tool
back on.
Check the batteries and replace
them if necessary.
Send the adapter to the
aftersales service.
Clean the contacts. If the adapter
still cannot connect to the
measuring tool after you have
done this, send the adapter to
the after-sales service.
Keep the measuring range < 65 ft
(20 m) or > 0.5 ft (0.15 m) and
read the notes on the measuring
range.
