MAINTENANCE

Inspections and maintenance carried out on the
hoist must be carried out by suitable people,
and must establish the appropriate frequencies
for the work to which the equipment is subject-
ed.
HOOK STATUS VERIFICATION
Perform an inspection on the hook weekly.
Replace, in any of the following cases:
1-Deformation of the throat, greater than 15%.
2-That it is bent or twisted more than 10 ° from
its normal plane.
Once a year, test the structure of the material
to detect flaws that cannot be seen with the na-
ked eye. The test that can be performed is dye
penetration.

If any alteration is found in the material struc-
ture, replace the hook.
3-Inspect the safety latch placed in the hook
and check if it performs the function of closing
the throat opening of the hook safely when the
load is placed.
The devices used for the movement of loads
must not affect the shape of the latch and allow
it to close when working with the hoist. That
way it will be fulfilling the function of keeping
the device in place, without danger of it coming
off the hook.
4-The chain fastening bolt must be made of
grade 8 steel, corresponding to all the capaci-
ties, differing according to each capacity the
size of the bolt.
With regard to models with double chain pull,
you must ensure that in the reduction, the three
fastening bolts are present, that they have safe-
ty washers, and that the bolt is not bent or that
it has been replaced by another that does not
correspond to the established safety character-
istics.
5-Check the lubrication and the adjustment of
the crapodin. Check for possible wear.
Disassemble and grease where appropriate.
Always keep the hook moving.
6-For the capacity of 1, check the pulley support
bearings.
Check the tightness of the side plate bolts.
Check that the chain is not crossed when enter-
ing the reduction.
Check that the reduction pulley is not broken or
present wear and that it is adequate according
to the chain size.
CHAIN STATUS VERIFICATION
The chain must be kept clean and lubricated.
Visually check the chain each time you use the
hoist.
The hoist must not be operated when the chain
is twisted or tangled.
An important phase of hoist maintenance is the
inspection of the chain. Check every link indi-
vidually to determine if there is elongation of
the chain.
IMPORTANT: The dimensions of the chain used
in the hoist are standardized and the center pul-
ley was adapted to these measures. Do not try
to exchange it for a chain from another man-
ufacturer.
