3. Safety
Any use beyond or different to the intended use is considered as improper use.
Do not use this instrument in safety or emergency shutdown devices.

3.4 Responsibility of the operator

Due to the redundant pressure sealing of the EMICOgauge connection, up to 20 mounting
and dismounting operations of the pressure gauge can be carried out. See chapter 7.2
"Separation at the EMICOgauge connection". After that, the operator is obliged to use a
new EMICOgauge instrument hook-up, so that the leak tightness of the overall system can
be guaranteed.
Systematically record mounting and dismounting operations at measuring
locations with EMICOgauges in order to be able to plan replacement of the
instrument in good time.
The legibility of the marking must be observed during time in use but at least during inspec-
tion periods of three years. If any harm of the legibility is found please contact the manufac-
turer to renew the marking.

3.5 Personnel qualification

The activities described in these operating instructions may only be
carried out by skilled personnel who have the qualifications described
below.
Skilled personnel
Skilled personnel are understood to be personnel who, based on their technical training,
knowledge of measurement and control technology and on their experience and knowled-
ge of country-specific regulations, current standards and directives, are capable of carrying
out the work described and independently recognising potential hazards.

3.6 Labelling / Safety marking

Pressure gauge and instrumentation valve are marked in accordance with the documenta-
tion supplied, depending on the version. The text "EMICOgauge" is shown on the dial.
