Before Using for the First Time

1. Carefully unpack the Treat Maker and remove all packaging and materials.
2. Your Treat Baker comes assembled with baking plates in position.
3. Before using your Treat Baker for the first time, ensure that upper and lower plates are
securely fixed.
Baking Plate Removal
1. Make sure the Treat Maker is unplugged and fully cool before removing baking plates.
CAUTION: This appliance is hot during operation and retains heat for some time after
unplugging. Always use oven mitts when handling hot materials and allow metal parts to cool
before changing baking plates.
2. CAUTION: Make sure the Unit is cold before removing plates.
Release the top baking plate by firmly pressing both upper plate locks with your thumbs.
Use your forefingers to remove. Grasp to pull baking plate tabs out of the upper housing slots.
(See Figure 2.)
WARNING: Use both hands to ensure that the upper baking plate does not fall onto
the Treat Maker during removal.
3. CAUTION: Make sure the Unit is cold before removing plates.
To release the bottom baking plate, use your forefingers to press left and right lower baking
plate locks down. Use your thumbs to pick the baking plate up. Grasp to pull plate tabs out of
the lower housing slots. (See Figure 3.)

4. Wipe all 6 baking plates with a damp cloth to remove all dust, and then dry.
Wipe outer surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth or sponge.
CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from running into the appliance.
NEVER IMMERSE SNACK MAKER BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!
