The HV1500 is a hand operator load valve capable of handling up to 420 bar (6,000 psi)
pressures and flows up to 1500 lpm (400 US gpm).
Warning: The HV1500 can handle considerable hydraulic power, approximately 1 MW
(1400 HP). This much energy applied incorrectly can easily result in death or bodily harm
to the operator. Operators using the valve should be experienced hydraulic engineers and
technicians. It should be born in mind that at some flow rates, pressures and oil viscosities
there could be substantial cavitation that could cause a pressure imbalance thus requiring
considerable effort to turn the knob. The HV1500 has built-in safety burst discs, see below for
further details.
Safety is the first consideration and if in doubt at any stage the procedure should be aborted
and Webtec consulted.
Caution: Surfaces and handles can be hot during and after use. Allow to cool before moving.
Before first operating the equipment read the whole of these instructions. Safety may be
impaired if they are not followed.
