This. means. that. you. can. use. it. in. Europe. as. well. as.
the.UK.
C. LASER DETECTION
Laser.detection.is.the.10th.band.that.can.be.detected.
Laser. Speed. Guns. use. pulses. of. infrared. laser. light.
to. measure. speed. of. target. by. timing. each. pulse.
over time as it is reflected back to the gun. The BTST
detects.laser.from.ahead.as.well.as.from.behind.
OPERATION
Power On and Self Test:. Each. time. your. BTST. is.
turned on, an automatic self-test sequence confirms that
the.speaker.and.visual.displays.are.functional.. During
power up, all alerts are illuminated, while the X, K, Ka
and Ku alerts are sounded in sequence. Immediately
after the radar alerts, the laser alert is sounded.
City Mode. is. designed. to. reduce. the. annoyance. of.
automatic. door. openers,. intruder. alarms. and. other.
devices that share frequencies with police radar.
Simply press 'CITY' once to engage this mode, and
press.it.again.to.disengage.
In.City.Mode,.weak.radar.signals.give.an.initial.alarm.
of one beep and then remain quiet unless the signal
becomes. stronger.. When. the. signal. strength. does.
increase,.further.alerts.sound.
Motorway Mode.provides.full.warnings.any.time.radar.
or.laser.signals.are.detected,.and.is.recommended.for.
open.road.driving.
Mute Mode.may.be. accessed. by. either. pressing. the.
'MUTE' button before or during an alert.
Night Driving Mode.accesses.two.dimming.modes:
a.. . Dim. Mode:. Reduces. the. intensity. of. the. display..
Hold the 'PWR' button down for 2 seconds to
access.this.mode.
b.. . .Audio. Only. Mode:. Switches. off. the. visual. alerts.
and only uses audio alerts. Hold the 'PWR' button
down.for.a.further..seconds.to.access.this.mode..
To revert to Normal mode, hold the 'PWR' button
down.for.a.further..seconds.
