Heater Replacement (continued)
If you are not replacing the tee fitting, the old and new pressure
NOTE:
switch housings will need to be disassembled and the new pressure
switch transferred to the old housing as shown in the above illustration.

Follow the wire from the heater to the pressure switch installed in a
PVC tee fitting as part of the whirlpool harness.
7.
Remove the screw holding the switch housing together.
8.
Remove the top half of the housing to expose the pressure switch.
Cut and remove the wires from the switch.
9.
Remove the old pressure switch from the housing by turning the
switch counterclockwise.
10. Remove the top half of the new housing to expose the new pressure
switch. Remove the new pressure switch from the housing by
turning the switch counterclockwise.
11. Apply a small amount of RTV sealant to the threads of the new
pressure switch and install it in the housing, turning clock wise. DO
NOT ALLOW RTV TO BLOCK THE ORIFICE ON THE SWITCH or
the heater will not operate. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN - Finger
tighten only.
12. Replace the top half of the housing and secure it with the screw.
Make sure that the wire harness is not pinched between the
housings.
13. Install the replacement heater using the O-rings or gaskets that had
been removed in disassembly.
