Installation
3.1

Notices regarding installation

This appliance was developed for installation in living spaces.
▶ Observe the enclosed installation instructions.
▶ Have the appliance installed by the contractor.
▶ Observe the standards and regulations of the specific country during
installation.
▶ Make sure that the appliance is not installed in a location where
draughts occur. Draughts can adversely affect the control unit.
▶ Install the appliance so as to avoid a build up of heat.
▶ Do not install objects (e.g. shelves, cupboards) above the radiator.
▶ Unless they can be constantly supervised, children under the age of
3 must be kept away from the appliance.
▶ Make sure that the lowest heating rail is at least 600 mm above the
floor to avoid injury to very small children.
▶ Only establish the electrical connection using a plug and socket.
3.2

Minimum clearances

▶ Comply with protection zones and minimum clearances according to
IEC 60364-7-701 and the regulations of the specific country
( Chapter 9.2, page 20).
3.3

Connection

▶ Connect appliance via a grounded electrical socket.
The voltage values of the electrical connection (socket) must correspond
to the specifications ( Chapter 9.3, page 21) and the connection must
be equipped with a residual current protective device ≤ 30 mA.
▶ Do not use a multiple socket outlet or extension.
▶ Do not use controlled interrupting devices (e.g. timers).

Operating the appliance

4.1

Safety instructions regarding operation

H Risk of overheating
▶ Do not climb on the radiator or cover it permanently
or completely.
▶ Ensure that the heat transfer from the radiator is
unhindered.
H Risk of injury from hot surfaces!
Hot surfaces can inflict injuries if they come into
contact with the skin.
▶ Do not touch hot surfaces.
▶ Unless supervised, keep children well away from
the appliance when it is hot.
H Material damage due to covered surfaces!
If the surfaces of the radiator are directly covered this
prevents heat transfer to the room.
Materials (e.g. hand towels, clothing) can fade, lose
colour or assume the colour of the radiator.
▶ Hang materials in front of the radiator using suitable
hooks or holding fixtures.
H Danger to life from electric shock!
Touching a defective product or connecting lead may
result in electric shock.
▶ Do not open the product.
▶ Avoid carrying out any interventions.
▶ Stop using the product and disconnect it from the
mains power supply.
▶ Have the product repaired by the contractor.

▶ Dispose of the product properly.
