INSTALLATION
830-832 TANDEM complies with current safety standards. Its installation on appliances must
nevertheless be verified in accordance with the specific standards for the appliance. In particular it is
necessary to ensure that the requirements relating to the number and class of gas flow on-off solenoid
valves are met. All the installation, setting and adjustment operations must be carried out exclusively by
qualified personnel and on the basis of the specific characteristics of the user appliance and following
the instructions given in this catalogue. All other operations are absolutely forbidden.
The control is not suitable for outdoor use

MECHANICAL CONNECTIONS

General recommendations
Do not tamper with sealed parts, do not slacken assembly screws and do not remove labels. Avoid
blows (knocks, falls, etc.). Only remove dust caps when installing. Do not exceed recommended
torques. Make sure that the gas flows in the directions shown by the arrow on the valve body. Prevent
foreign substances from getting into the valve during installation. In particular, check the cleanliness of
the inlet and outlet pipes. Do not subject the valve to bending exceeding 35 Nm and to torque
exceeding 25 Nm. Use only the specified spanner grips when making the connections.
Main gas connection
The connection must be made using gas pipes with Rp 1/2 ISO 7 thread. Torque: 25 Nm.
If, alternatively, flanges (available on request) are used, first screw the pipes onto the flanges and then
the flanges to the valve. Recommended torque or flange retaining screws: 3 Nm.
Pilot burner connection
4mm, 6mm or 1/4" diameter pipes can be used. Use appropriately sized nut and olive.
Tighten the connection to 7 Nm torque.
Connection to the combustion chamber
Use the threaded outlet "A" to connect the pressure regulator to the combustion chamber.
CAUTION: If the pilot outlet is not used, plug it tight using plug, code 0.972.041, available as
accessory. Torque: 7 Nm. After making the gas connections, check tightness and the proper operation
of the apparatus.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

General precautions:
The electrical connections must be made in compliance with the electrical standards. Check that the
supply voltage and frequency of the control are correct. Ensure that the connections, particularly to the
ground, are made to the highest standards. The 24Vac version must be powered by an insulating
transformer with a very low safety voltage. Carry out the electrical connections in conformity with the
specifications in the technical instructions for the flame detection device used and/or in the specific rules
for the user appliance. The electrical safety cut-off devices (e.g.: flame safety, limit thermostat and
similar) must cut off the power supply to both solenoid valves simultaneously
