E- MAN (BIZ 731 001) Electrician's helmet
with integrated face shield
Instruction Sheet – please read before using the helmet:
First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing our new E-MAN helmet. This product is designed for a high level of comfort during use. The utmost attention
has been paid to visual comfort by keeping the shield at a distance from your face and treating it with anti-mist and anti-scratch coating. The shield also has
first class optical rating (optical class 1: no distortion of the field of vision). This helmet has the added advantage of exclusive Crash Box technology, ensuring
that its performance is far superior to the mechanical requirements of the EN397 standard (better shock resistance).
The E-MAN has been tested by DGUV Test Zwengenberger Strasse 68, D – 42781 Haan 0299; ECS GmbH Obere Bahnstrasse 74, D-73431 Aalen 1883.
!
Please read this instruction sheet with care to ensure that you benefit from this E-MAN helmet for many years.
Your E-MAN is completely assembled and delivered ready to use.
Please carry out the following steps to ensure correct usage of this Personal Protective Equipment :
Helmet adjustment
Before using it for the first time, adjust the helmet to your head size.
Use the black knob at the back of the helmet to "pull"; "turn" and "push" (PULL/TURN/PUSH System)
How to Lower the Faceshield:
The E-MAN is delivered with the shield raised (withdrawn between the two shells of the helmet):
- Place the helmet on your head and place your index finger on the edge (Fig. 1).
- Take hold of the protruding tab on the edge of the shield and use it to lower the visor.
- Hold the tab between your thumb and index finger and pull downwards (without pulling outwards or inwards) until you hear the shield click into place. (Fig 2).
Note:
The tab is wide for easy handling, even with gloves.
Raising the Faceshield:
To raise the faceshield, press outwards /forwards with both thumbs just below the edge of the helmet (Fig. 3 & 4). The integrated spring then brings the shield back to
the raised position.
Maintenance:
The helmet should be cleaned by using a mild detergent and warm water (less 50°C). Direct contact with solvents and alcohols may reduce the resistance of the shell
and should be avoided. Clean the eye protector regularly, preferably after every use with tissues for optical lens cleaning and/or mild detergent and warm water.
Useful Life:
The maximum life of the helmet is 4 years.
Inspection:
Before each use, the helmet should be inspected for cracks, cuts or other damage. Any helmet involved in an accident should be replaced for safety reason.
Storage:
Store the equipment clean and dry in normal room temperature. Do not store the helmet behind front or rear car windows. The chinstrap fastener shall be fitted into the
hook (self-releasing) at both sides of the headband.
