to replace them if damaged or worn.
7) T o ensure that the machine will function prop-
erly over time, it is highly recommended to
change the engine oil regularly, following the tim-
ing indicated in the engine's Instruction Manual.
The oil can be discharged at a specialised serv-
icing centre, or by using a syringe to suction the
oil out through the filler spout, bearing in mind
you may need to repeat the operation sever-
al times in order to completely empty the tank.
Remember to top-up with oil before using the ma-
chine again.
4.1 Cutting means maintenance
It is best if all interventions on the cutting means are done
at a specialised Centre that has the most appropriate tools
and equipment.
Only cutting means bearing the code indicated in the table
on page ii must be used on this machine.
Given product evolution, the above mentioned cutting
means may be replaced in time with others having similar
interchangeable and operating safety features.
Reassemble the cutting means (2) with the code facing
the ground, following the steps indicated in the illustration.
Tighten the central screws (1) using a torque wrench set
to 35-40 Nm.
4.2 Drive adjustment
On power-driven models, the drive belt tension is obtained
by adjusting the nut (1) until the indicated measurement (6
mm) is obtained.
4.3 Battery recharging (where applicable)
• Electric key ignition models
To recharge a flat battery, connect it to the battery charg-
er (1) following the instructions in the battery maintenance
manual.
Do not connect the battery charger directly to the engine
terminal. It is not possible to ignite the engine using the
battery charger as a power source, as it may get damaged.
If you do not use the lawnmower for a long period of time,
disconnect the battery from the engine wiring, making sure
the charge level is good.
• Electric push-button ignition models
Follow all the instructions provided in the engine Instruc-
tion Manual.
4.4 Cleaning the interior
To clean the internal parts of the lawnmower:
– c onnect a water hose to the specific attachment (1);
– set the cutting height as low as possible;
– a lways stand behind the lawnmower handle;
– s tart the engine and engage the cutting means.
• Only for DML models:
– s tart by cleaning the internal parts in the same operating
situation as before;
– s top the engine, move the discharge selection lever to
the opposite position, start the engine and clean again;
