Testin g Di od es
Use the diod e test t o c heck di od es, transistors, an d oth er s em icond uctor d evices. The di od e test s ends a cur r ent
thro ugh t he semicon ducto r j u nctio n, a nd the n measur es t he v oltage drop ac ross the j unction. A good silic on j unct ion
drops bet we e n 0.5V a nd 0.8 V.
To test out a diod e o ut of a circuit, co nnect the Meter as f ollo ws:
7. Insert th e red test lea d into t he VΩ te rmina l an d th e bl ack test lead i nto the CO M te rmi nal.

disp lays the resistance v alue of a circuit un de r test.
