2.0 General operation
• There must be no persons or obstacles in the extending / retracting zone of the awning
and in the opening / closing zone of the lamellas.
• Do not let children operate the weather protection system and any fitted control de-
vices.
• The weather protection system must be within the operator's view during operation.
• The weather protection system must not be used if repair or maintenance work is
required. All available control systems must be set to manual mode.
• With MELANO TP7100, BAVONA TP6100 and ASTANO TR4110 / TR4120, the shading
must be re-tensioned after a time. It is imperative that this is carried out by the author-
ised specialist dealer.
• Although the systems discharge rain water into the water channel, it is possible for rain
water to penetrate between the fabric, lamellas and water channel, especially in strong
winds.
• The MELANO TP7100, BAVONA TP6100 and ASTANO TR4110 / TR4120 systems are
designed to provide sun and weather protection. In case of snowfall, the awning has to
be retracted.
• With the BAVONA TP6500 and ASTANO TR4520 systems, the lamellas must be opened
slightly in advance of any expected frost temperatures and opened fully (vertical) if
snowfall is expected. If snow does settle on the lamella roof, the maximum snow load
of 110 kg / m
2

operated again until all the ice has been fully removed.
