ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR IF
YOU IGNORE THIS WARNING.
The Heatworks MODEL 1X must be installed by a licensed
electrician in accordance with all applicable national,
state, provincial, and local electrical codes. Under no
circumstances should the Heatworks MODEL 1X be
installed without first shutting off all power to the unit at
the fuse or breaker box.
Heatworks Recommends: Reference colored wiring
diagram on the inside of the MODEL 1X back cover
STEPS
1) Prior to wiring your Heatworks MODEL 1X, a licensed
electrician should consult the MODEL 1X Installation and
User Manual.
2) Verify all wiring (wire gauge) and circuit protection
(breakers) comply with national and local electrical codes.

3) Remove the back cover by unscrewing the four phillips
screws in each corner.
4) Your MODEL 1X will
have a short length of
wire already installed into
one of the controller
terminals. The other end
is INTENTIONALLY
disconnected. Insert an
appropriate strain relief
fitting into the electrical
opening on the MODEL
1X as shown in Figure 5.1.
5) Insert your existing wiring along with the supplied
extension cable through the strain relief fitting and
MODEL 1X opening.
6) Trim your existing
wiring and align its ends
with the extension cable
as shown in Figure 5.2.
CAUTION: Breaker must remain off until installation is complete.
