INSTALLATION INFORMATION:

Attach the ceiling plate using the included plugs and screws to the ceiling on a location
of choice. Wall mounting is not recommended for smoke detection. Remove the red
pin from the back side of the smoke alarm. Then put the detector to the ceiling plate
and, twist clockwise to lock it in place. Perform a first test by holding the test key for
two seconds. Also see the paragraph: "Testing".
USING, TESTING AND MAINTENANCE:
Using:
The smoke detector works if the red pin has been removed from the smoke detector
and has been mounted to the ceiling. The unit can only be mounted to the plate if the
pin has been removed. The red LED will now flash every 40 seconds. Once smoke
is detected, the alarm will sound. Once the smoke disappears, the smoke alarm will
stop automatically. In this case the green LED will flash every 40 seconds. This can be
deactivated by pressing the test button once. A small beep will then indicate that an
alarm has occured.
Time-out functie:
Met deze functie wordt de gevoeligheid van het alarm vermindert gedurende
ongeveer 10 minuten. Deze functie kan worden ingeschakeld door één keer op de
"HUSH" knop te drukken. De gevoeligheid van de rookmelder wordt automatisch
verminderd en het indicatielampje zal ± iedere 10 seconden even oplichten om aan te
geven dat het geluid tijdelijk onderdrukt is. Na 10 minuten wordt het alarm weer geacti-
veerd. Als er dan nog rookvorming is zal het alarmgeluid weer te horen zijn.
Deze functie kan herhaaldelijk worden gebruikt.
Test:
Hold the test key for at least 2 seconds. The operation is still correct if you hear 2 or
three signal tones. Check the smoke detectors weekly. In alarm status the smoke de-
tector will generate about 85dB(A). Do not use candles, open fire or cigarettes to test
the smoke detector.
ATTENTION:
• If the cause of an alarm is unclear, assume it's caused by fire. Immediately
evacuate the building.
