Possible applications for fall protection for 2-3 persons and rescue in
combination with the additional anchorage point.

In an emergency, the anchor device allows a
1
rescuer with attached fall arrest lifebelt and who
is locked into a second fall arresting device with
rescue lift device to descend into a confined space (e.g.
shaft, container) to reach a victim.
Possible scenarios for such a rescue emergency:
- Structures on the bottom of a shaft or container that
can trap a person, preventing the victim from being
hoisted because they are caught in such a way that
blocks the rescue device.
- Due to the structural conditions, it may be necessary
for a rescuer accompany the victim during the rescue
to ensure that the rescue is not blocked, for example,
by the victim getting caught/jammed on construction
parts.
In such cases, please note the following:
- If additional personal protective equipment is
required for the rescuer, be aware of possible
interactions with his anti-fall protective equipment.
- Pivoting the cantilever arm in order to position the
victim safely in compliance with first aid rules is no
longer possible because the rescuer is still in the
shaft or container. This requires positioning the victim
on the edge of the entry point pulling them away from
the entry point bit by bit while unwinding.

A person enters a shaft, for example, while

attached with a HRA-type fall arresting device
to the fall arrest eyelet of his safety harness
(refer to instruction manual for the equipment). The
safety signaller has the option, for example, to use
a fall arresting device in combination with a safety
harness to attach himself to the additional anchorage
point.
Even during an emergency rescue, the safety signaller
is always protected against falling. It is not possible to
rule out the possibility of injury to the safety signaller
or damage to the PPE resulting from impact with
edges or objects in the event of a fall into a shaft, for
example.
