1.
Power LED (Top of unit) – This Blue LED illuminates when the unit is turned on.
2.
Thermal LED (Top of unit) – This Red LED illuminates if the amplifier reaches the third stage of
thermal protection. The amplifier will shut down to cool if this occurs.
3.
Protect LED (Top of unit) – This Yellow LED illuminates if a short circuit or too low of an impedance
is detected at the speaker connections. The amplifier will automatically shut down if this occurs.
4.
Battery Low LED (Top of unit) – This Red LED illuminates when voltage to the amplifier is below 11
volts DC.This can be an indication of a poor charging system or improper sized wiring in the vehicle.
5.
Fan On LED (Top of unit) – This Red LED illuminates when the fan comes on to help cool the
amplifier for thermal protection.
6.
Channel Input Level LEDs (Top of unit) – These Blue LEDs illuminate displaying the level input of
the channels connected to the amplifier. Output levels corespond directly to the input level. Red LEDs will
illuminate when the channels begin clipping.
7.
Fuses – These ANL fuses are easily accessible in case of failure.Always replace fuses with same type and
rating. See Specifications for fuse ratings.
8.
3-Stage Convection Cooling – The 3-stage thermal design consits of a 3-speed variable fan, integrated
PCB plenum and focused mass heat distribution utilizing a highly efficient cast aluminum heatsink. This
superior design keeps the amplifiers internal components cool, maximizes the amplifier potential, reduces
distortion and increases efficiency.
9.
Speaker Terminals – The heavy duty, nickel-plated clamp wire connectors ( + and -) will accept wire
sizes from 8 AWG to 18 AWG.
10. Remote Bass – The Para-Punch Remote Bass connection is made with a RJ-45 cable and can be installed
in a variety of ways for easy control access. One control is used to boost low frequency information to
overcome road noise and put the bass in your face. This Bass control is a narrow band adjustment
variable from 0dB to +18dB with a Gyrator based Punch EQ that eliminates frequency shift with boost.
The other control is used for adjusting center frequency variable from 35Hz to 70Hz.The control only
makes adjustments to the Sub channel (output).
11. 2/4/5 Channel Switch – Moving the switch to the right position, sets the inputs to a 2-channel
mode, allowing connection to only the front inputs with a 5-channel output. Moving the switch to the
center position, sets the inputs to a 4-channel mode, allowing connection to only the front and rear
inputs with a 5-channel output. Moving the switch to the left position, sets the inputs to a 5-channel
mode, requiring connection toall inputs with a 5-channel output.
