13. With the cabinet running, seal the end of the charging pipe with an ad-hoc cap available in the tools set. With a proper
tool clamp the charging pipe 2 times, about 2-3 cm distant from each other, just behind the cap.
14. Turn off the cabinet and check the tightness of the refrigeration circuit with a leak detector calibrated to detect the
R290 gas.
* N.B.- The opening of the refrigeration circuit has to be done from the gas charging pipe, after the charge the
circuit MUST be tightly closed by sealing the charging pipe. In case of need you can weld a "Schrader" adaptor to
perform vacuum operations and refrigeration circuit filling. Once the R290 gas filling has been completed, clamp the
charging pipe with the proper tool, just behind "Schrader" adaptor, at least 2 times, at about 2-3 cm distant from each
other.
18 – Multiplexing instructions
Lower part only for refrigerated modules
For channelling two or more counters follow the instructions below and refer to FIG. 14.
-
Remove the aluminium socket (Ref. A).
-
Insert the threaded rod into the hole on the foot of the block (Ref. B).
-
Insert the washers on both sides and tighten the nuts on both sides (Ref. C).
Upper part for all modules
For channelling two or more counters follow the instructions below and refer to FIG. 15.
-
Remove the top cover (Ref. A).
-
Insert the threaded rod in the hole shown in figure (Ref. B).
-
Insert the washers on both sides and tighten the nuts on both sides (Ref. C).
FIG. 11 shows the correct numbering to be attributed to the doors.
19 - Technical Requirements for installation of Out-Door CUB@ 2 model units
To ensure proper operation, Oscartielle requires the following to be observed.
Environmental Conditions:
-
According to International Standard EN ISO 23953-1/2, performance of the units refers to Environmental Climatic
Class S, which provides for an ambient temperature of -10°C/+30°C.
-
If environmental conditions differ from those indicated (-10°C/+30°C), lower performances must be expected in
comparison to those outlined (this applies to all units, both for positive and negative temperatures).
-
We strongly recommend positioning / rotating the units (customer side) towards geographical north to prevent direct
exposure of the units to the sun during the hottest times of the day.
-
A minimum of 10 cm is required from the rear of the unit to the wall or support wall, if applicable. (Fig. 8-9-10)
-
The customer must ensure continual cleaning of the condenser (at least once per month and following visual
inspection of the condenser), which is critical in outdoor environments due to the presence of dust, pollen, etc. (Fig.
13)
-
For Out-Door installations, a Condenser Cleaning Kit is required (Fig. 16).
-
For Out-Door installations, finishing of both units and accessories using a coat of paint for outdoor environments is
required.
Positioning:
-
A flat, concrete slab must be procured on which the units can be secured to the floor using an accessory kit (Fig. 17).
-
Units must rest on all parts where adjustable feet are present (Fig. 17).
-
Units must be level both in length and depth in order to prevent instability or malfunction (Fig. 4).
-
A frame / shelter / canopy that covers the entire unit multiplex must be provided. Oscartielle provides a product for
such use as an accessory (Fig. 18).
-
If the rear of the units are not to be positioned against a wall, they must be equipped with an accessory that creates
an air space that is required to prevent the units from being exposed to direct sunlight (Fig. 19).
Canopy:
If the customer decides to create their own frame / shelter / canopy, the following requirements must be guaranteed:
-
The canopy must cover the entire unit multiplex.
-
The canopy must protrude at least 85 cm at the front (Fig. 21).
-
The canopy must protrude at least 25 cm at the rear (Fig. 21).
-
The canopy at the start and at the end of the multiplex must amply cover the upper part of the unit, where the
sensitive parts are located (Fig. 20).
-
The roof must be opaque to prevent the heat of the sun's rays from impinging on, and compromising the operation of,
the refrigeration motor, which is positioned on the roof.
-
The roof must be insulated so that it acts as a direct barrier to the sun's rays and stops heat externally.
-
The canopy must be tilted by at least 2° to facilitate water run-off towards the rear (Fig. 21).
-
The canopy must include the necessary load-bearing characteristics to withstand exceptional events or heavy
snowfall.
-
The canopy must be positioned at a minimum distance of 25 cm from the top of the unit to its lowest point (internal
side) so that air flows freely and heat is not trapped internally (Fig. 21).
-
The above-mentioned spaces (25 cm from the top of the unit to the lowest point of the frame) are required to ensure
routine and non-routine maintenance of the units.
