HIGHLIGHTS MANUAL

INSTALLATION
• Place the DOM TRIAGE BOX in an area with a support surface suitable to sustain the weight of the box,
calculating the maximum weight of a person in order to avoid sagging and tipping over.
• Connect the DOM TRIAGE BOX to the power supply in compliance with the electrical plate data. The connection
must be made by qualified personnel in compliance with the applicable regulatory compendium.

FIRST USE AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SHIFT
• At the beginning of each shift, check the intactness of the gloves. In the presence of the slightest anomaly, it is
required to replace them before proceeding.
• At the beginning of each shift a functioning test of the devices must be carried out; this includes:
internal light, intercom, emergency and reset buttons.
• Before the healthcare personnel is admitted into the DOM TRIAGE BOX, this must be sanitized in accordance
with the WHO (World Health Organization) recommendations. Sanitization should be done even on the external
surfaces of B side, glass and gloves. Both indoor and outdoor environment is designed to withstand even > 70%
ethanol solutions. The personnel carrying out the sanitization must use the appropriate PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment) in appliance to the internal risk assessment document and to the applicable local
regulations relating to exposure to biological agents.

USE
1. The patient, following the health regulations in force, goes to the external B SIDE of the box, signalling his
presence.
2. Healthcare personnel enters the (DOM TRIAGE BOXR) box from the door located in A side
3. Healthcare personnel, in application of the internal procedures, PREVENTIVELY WEARING GLOVES and by
inserting the arms inside the gloves slots on side B, performs the swab test.
4. The swab test is then inserted into the test tube and deposited in the external collector by the patient.
For each subsequent test, the healthcare personnel must clean accurately the gloves with a proper solution
positioned on the external shelf, always respecting and considering time and methods described inside the
internal procedures.
5. Healthcare personnel in charge of sanitization shall take the package with the sample tests carried out
as per internal procedure; afterwards it sanitizes all internal and external surfaces in accordance with WHO
recommendations, HAVING PARTICULAR CARE TO SANITIZE THOSE OF THE GLOVES.

LIGHT OPERATION, INTERCOM AND EMERGENCY BUTTON
• Turn on the light by pressing the light switch on side B of the DOM TRIAGE BOX.
• For the use of the intercom follow the instructions of the installed device.
• The emergency button must be switched off by pressing the button on side B of the DOM TRIAGE BOX.
WARNING!
The organization (i.e.: hospital) that uses the DOM TRIAGE BOX must draw specific internal safety procedures in
accordance to the internal risk assessment document and to the applicable local regulations relating to exposure
to biological agents.
Correct sanitization and respect of time are essential to reduce the risk of infection.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any infection that might occur due to improper use of the DOM
TRIAGE BOX or for sanitization operations carried out not according to the recommendations of the WHO and the
authorities.
