Troubleshooting Guide
The following is intended as an aid in determining whether the battery pack or the charger may be malfunctioning.
Problem
Battery pack does not fit in
charger pocket.
No battery pack in charger,
but charging, battery fault,
and temperature LEDs are
on.
Power LED is ON, battery
pack is inserted, but charger
pocket LED is OFF.
LED at any station is RED
and flashing

Cause
Different manufacturer's battery
pack.
The contacts in the charge pocket
are damaged.
There is an object in the charger
pocket.
Dirt or foreign objects are in the
charger pocket.
Battery pack is not making
contact with charging pins in the
charger pocket.
Wrong battery pack.
Defective battery pack.
The battery pack is not making
good contact with charging pins
in charger pocket.
Current could not be sourced
through the battery pack due to
age, exhaustion or damage to the
cell(s).
The battery pack voltage has not
reached a particular voltage level
within 90 minutes and the charger
has timed out.
The charger's 4-hour or 6-hour
timeout period has expired.
Solution
Check if the battery pack is LXE part
number 157873-0001 or 161139-0001. If
not, do not use.
Contact LXE for a charge pocket
replacement.
Remove the object from the charger
pocket.
Unplug charger from outlet. Remove any
dirt or foreign objects from charger pocket.
If the LEDs continue to remain ON, the
charger may be defective. Return charger
to an authorized LXE service center.
Remove and then push battery pack in
firmly. Do not "slam" the battery pack into
the battery pocket.
The battery pack in the charger pocket
may be similar in appearance to a different
type of equipment's battery pack (e.g. the
LXE MX1 uses a battery pack that is
similar in appearance to the MX1-IS
battery pack).
Insert a known good battery pack to
determine if the problem is in the charger
or the battery pack.
Push battery pack in firmly. Do not "slam"
the battery pack into the charger pocket.

options.

Make sure that the battery pack
temperature is within specification and
retry charging. If problem repeats, contact
LXE for battery pack replacement options.
