2. Place the Center Piece and Leaves (A) on a flat surface. Protect the top with a piece of carpet
or cardboard to prevent marring. Index marks have been placed on the bottom of the Center
Piece and Leaves (A) to assist in matching each leaf to the correct side of the Center Piece.
3. Place the Hinges (F) into the grooves in the underside of the Center Piece (A) as shown in
FIGURE 2. Make sure the short flap of each hinge is towards the center piece and the long
flap is towards the leaf. A small gap between the center piece and each leaf is necessary for
expansion of the wood over time. To create this gap, place a folded piece of paper (folded
to yield three layers of paper) at each end of this gap while you attach the Hinges (F) with
Screws (G). See FIGURE 2.
Repeat for other leaf.

4. Glue two Wood Dowels (H) into each Leg (D). Attach a Rack End Support (C) to one set of
Legs (D) gluing all dowels and attaching pieces together with Screw (I). See FIGURE 4A.
Make sure the Rack End Support (C) is straight and parallel to the legs before screwing
together. See FIGURE 4B.
Repeat with other set of Legs (D) and Rack End Support (C).
