Assembly instructions
1. Preparation
Check that all parts are present, using the Parts List (page 12) and the
overall diagram (page 13).
We recommend assembling the model on a soft, clean, flat building
surface, to avoid denting and scratching the components. Unless
expressly stated otherwise, use Zacki
all joints in this model.
The illustrations are on pages 18-19.
2. Installing the undercarriage
Attach the pre-assembled undercarriage unit to the fuselage using the
two M4 screws supplied Fig. 1 .
3. Installing the receiver
The next step is to fit your receiver. We recommend that you attach it to
the inside of the fuselage on the right-hand side, in line with the knurled
battery plate screw, using hook-and-loop tape. Connect all the servos and
controller to the receiver Fig. 2 .
4. Installing the tailplane, elevator linkage
De-grease or lightly sand the contact surfaces to be glued.

Slide the tailplane through the fuselage, and check that it is 'square'
Fig. 3 / Fig. 4 . At the same time check that the distance from the
tailplane tips to the wingtips is identical on both sides Fig. 5 . Apply a
little low-viscosity (thin) Zacki along the joint between the tailplane and
the fuselage on one side. To avoid glue running out of the joint, allow it to
penetrate for a while before applying adhesive to the other side Fig. 6 /
Fig. 7 . If any glue escapes, wipe it off immediately with a paper towel.
A little activator spray accelerates the hardening process. Push the in-fill
piece into the opening, and apply a little Zacki to secure it Fig. 8 .
Centre the elevator servo from the transmitter. Connect the elevator
pushrod to the outermost hole of the elevator servo output arm. Set the
elevator itself to neutral (centre), then clamp the pushrod at the elevator
horn Fig. 9 .
5. Fitting the rudder, closed loop linkage
Offer up the rudder to the hinge posts and clip the hinges together; you
will hear a distinct "click" when the hinge engages Fig. 10 / Fig. 11 .
Use a servo tester or your transmitter to centre the rudder servo.
To avoid damaging the linkage cables, be sure to remove rough edges
from the hole in the ring-screw.
Secure the ring-screw in the aluminium barrel by tightening the socket-
head grubscrew.
