3. Providing acoustic isolation
3-1 N oise isolation earpad
Since the earpad has a large impact on acoustic
isolation, a newly-developed noise isolation earpad has
been employed. After dozens of ergonomic tests and
inspections, the perfect shape was finalized. The oval
earpad shape effectively covers the entire length of the
ear, preventing the natural tendency to leak sound.
Reducing the width helped to reduce the problem of
hair getting in the way while also for achieving higher
acoustic isolation. Moreover, we use pressure-relieving
urethane foam for the cushion material for the earpad interior with improved suppleness towards the
natural shape of the ear area to further increase acoustic isolation.

Baffle
Inserting a gasket in the gap between the
baffle and the housing that covers it prevents
unnecessary sound leaking while simultaneously
improving acoustic isolation to cut sound leakage.
Our chief goal was a balance between sound
quality and acoustic isolation through other
means, such as like minimizing the necessary
housing openings.
